* Two main themes are: the cold winter and the end of the year. 
       * For the year's end, tidy your physical and social space, bringing in order relationships, but also replacing the paper screens. On 13 XII, you bring 鏡餅 to your teachers.
       * For winter, snow, slate, hail are great symbols, as are bare trees and ducks with their heads tucked in.
   * In my calendar, I'm continuing November's practising the different ways of the thick tea container (茶入飾 and 盆点, as well as 炭).

===Things to do!===
   * ゆず is in season, and it's common on the winter solstice to take a ゆず bath.
   * ゆべし is also something to do this season, then you can serve it as 八寸 in March.
   * Also, it's a good time to start candying salsify (or ごぼ, if you have it) for the New Years.

===茶事===

   * 甘酒 in the beginning; with a 火鉢; 煎茶, then 炭 with filling the 釜 because afterwards will be 続き薄茶. 懐石 can include 湯葉 for 向付. Serve steamed sweets.

===道具===
   * 矢筈
   * 寒月 茶碗
   * 霰釜
   * 暦　茶碗

   * 紅炉一点雪 (こう　ろう　いってん　の　ゆき, above the heart, a single snowflake）, which I actually have 😻
   * 松樹千年翠, which I got, too 😻
