All stays the same (apart from the folding of the leaf lid), except for the 拝見 request:
It happens when you close the 釜蓋, while you have the 柄杓 in your hand.
After receiving the request, directly put the 柄杓 on the 建水.

When disposing of the leaf, CJ held it from below on the stem between L's index and middle finger.
KMR 25 suggested to still hold it from below with L, but not on the stem. Then turn the hand so that if the leaf package should open by accident, it doesn't spill all over you.

in VII 25 I used fig leaves, which fold nicely.
rhubarb grows mighty large leaves, so maybe this could be used?
