Maybe because 玄々斎 invented it by removing a shelf from 利休's 三重棚? Anyway, 棗 is in the middle shelf, then raised after 濃茶, then 柄杓 and 蓋置 are on the middle shelf. Finally, 茶碗 and 棗 come to stand on the top shelf. |
