玄々斎好み 杉棚, where you slide the middle board back before opening the
水指 (and back after closing it). However, in order to not knock over the
棗, you hold it, similar to a つづれ棚! This does not apply when it's a 平棗, which is unlikely to fall over. The original 杉棚 has a little peck for the
柄杓, but here, it doesn't seem to have it. So the
仕覆, I presume, lives in the middle of the 天板.
