  • Western (25 IX 19): very fruity nose, not just classical peaches; also bell peppers and candied pineapple. Quite sticky and sweet in the mouth; it has a little bit of bitterness, which makes me think it has a little bit of a roasting error.
  • Western (27 XII 19): Quite fruity, and not too candied, actually. A bit fresher-thick, candied ginger and ripe pineapples. Very clean stew of carrots. This plastic dildo note, for some reason?! This note also makes it into the soup, then full, but quite fresh, green bitterness.
  • Western (28 XII 19): Deep and dense and sour, almost red wine vinegar and wood polish. I think I oversteeped this one, 3 gr in the 100 ml taster.
  • Blind Western (8 I 20): exciting, lively. Fruits, but sparkling accents, too; some peach ice tea, but also Flieder, heavy. Moscovado, rain forest. Liptonity, accents of lemon. Cup is dense, but tastes fresh. Lemon leaf infusion, tingling on tongue. HJG 2010
  • Western (28 XII 19): Lighter and slightly greener, yet still sweetish; a light caramel. Powdered sugar. Velvety and thick texture, but very light taste. Morning light. A little bit flower water. Tame taste, but long-lasting.
  • Blind Western (13 I 20): fresher, a bit of swimming pool chloride. Fresh cultivar. Juicy. Golden raisins? Cup is quite full, again, chloride.
  • Western (8 III 21): orange sugar drops, roasted flower stalks? Surprisingly waxy in the mouth, soapy even as it chills. Somewhat brighter, yet still waxy, as it chills.

Golden Turtle, Wuyi (Schwarzenbach)

  • Western (28 XII 19): nose deep, some flower water. Baked vanilla, some warm eucalyptus? As it cools slightly, more so; tiger balm on baked, brown cookies. Cup woodsy, bitter and short; stone fruit kernels; a fresh wood bite right at the beginning.
  • Blind Western (3 I 20): full on fruity nose, very dense; lots of candies. Eucalyptus honey candies. Cup not terribly tasty, thick texture, some metallic tinge. This is not even so bad, but a bit simple.
