It is often done using the 五行棚（ごぎょうだな）, which was invented by Gengensai. Personally, these 点前 are already quite crowded, so I prefer the simplicity of the 大板.
No matter which of the 3 you use, it's 運び, so the 蓋置 is 竹. The 蓋置 faces the direction of the 柄杓, so you need to turn it accordingly.
五行棚
One decoration style is called 書院, with the 柄杓 positioned vertical on the left side of the board, the 蓋置 on the top shelf and the 棗 on the right.You can also have the 蓋置 on the bottom shelf
You can also have the 柄杓 be placed diagonally (⅓ and ¼), with the 蓋置 in the lower left corner.
